Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions govern your use of the services provided by Cartref Home Pet Care.
Last updated: 21 February 2025
1. Introduction
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to all services provided by Cartref Home Pet Care (“we”, “us”, “our”), a veterinary practice based in Neath, South Wales. By booking or using our services, you (“the Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
Cartref Home Pet Care provides compassionate home pet euthanasia and associated end-of-life veterinary services. Our registered address is Neath, Neath Port Talbot, SA11. You can contact us by telephone on 07472 574773 or by email at cartrefhomepetcare@outlook.com.
2. Services
We provide home pet euthanasia and related end-of-life care services, including but not limited to pre-visit consultations, home visits, clinical assessments, sedation, euthanasia, and aftercare arrangements such as private cremation.
All veterinary services are carried out by a qualified veterinary surgeon who is a registered member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). Services are provided in accordance with the RCVS Code of Professional Conduct.
We reserve the right to decline to provide services where, in the professional judgement of the attending veterinary surgeon, it is not in the best interests of the animal or where the conditions are not safe or appropriate for a home visit.
Our services are available across South Wales, including but not limited to Neath, Port Talbot, Swansea, Bridgend, Llanelli, Carmarthen, Cardiff, and surrounding areas. Service availability may vary by location and is subject to scheduling.
3. Pricing & Payment
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Current pricing is displayed on our website and will be confirmed to you before any service is provided.
Payment is due at the time of the home visit unless otherwise agreed in advance. We accept payment by bank transfer, debit card, and credit card. Cash payments may also be accepted at the discretion of the attending veterinary surgeon.
Where cremation services are included, the total price covers both the euthanasia service and the cremation fee. Cremation pricing is based on your pet's weight and the type of urn or casket selected.
We reserve the right to update our pricing at any time. Updated prices will be published on our website and will apply to bookings made after the date of change. Any price confirmed to you at the time of booking will be honoured.
4. Cancellation
We understand that circumstances may change, and we approach all cancellations with compassion. If you need to cancel or reschedule a booked appointment, please let us know as soon as possible by calling 07472 574773 or emailing cartrefhomepetcare@outlook.com.
Cancellations made with more than 24 hours' notice will incur no charge. For cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment, we may, at our discretion, apply a cancellation fee to cover travel and preparation costs. This will be discussed with you at the time.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule an appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, emergencies, or adverse conditions. In such cases, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative time.
5. Liability
All veterinary services are provided with reasonable care and skill in accordance with the standards expected of a qualified veterinary surgeon. We carry professional indemnity insurance for the services we provide.
While we take every precaution to ensure the comfort and welfare of your pet, veterinary procedures carry inherent risks. In the rare event of a complication, we will act in the best interests of the animal at all times.
Our liability to you shall not exceed the total fee paid for the service in question. We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from the provision of our services, except where such losses result from our negligence or breach of duty.
The Client is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for the home visit, including the control of any other animals on the premises. The Client must disclose any known health risks or behavioural concerns regarding their pet prior to the visit.
6. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of our services after changes have been published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at cartrefhomepetcare@outlook.com or call 07472 574773.
