Home Pet Euthanasia in Bridgend

Gentle end-of-life care for families across Bridgend County Borough. Dr Jenny Kurtz-Shefford brings peaceful home euthanasia to your door, so your pet can say goodbye surrounded by the people and the home they love most.

A Kinder Goodbye for Bridgend Pets

Home pet euthanasia across Bridgend County Borough, from the coast to the valleys.

Choosing when to say goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the hardest decisions a family will ever make. If you live in Bridgend, Cartref Home Pet Care offers a gentler alternative to a clinic appointment: a quiet, compassionate home visit where your dog or cat can pass peacefully in familiar surroundings.

Whether home is a terraced street in Bridgend town, a new build on Brackla, a seaside cottage in Porthcawl, a chapel village in the Llynfi Valley, or a farmhouse near Pencoed or Laleston, Dr Jenny Kurtz-Shefford will travel to you. Your pet stays in their favourite spot, the family can be together, and there is no pressure, no rushing, and no sterile waiting room.

“Cartref” is Welsh for “home”, and we believe home is where your pet deserves to be when it matters most.

Why Choose Home Euthanasia in Bridgend?

Giving your pet the most peaceful, dignified goodbye possible.

No Car Journey to a Clinic

A trip to the vet can be distressing for a poorly pet, especially from homes tucked into the Llynfi or Garw valleys. Home euthanasia removes the journey completely so your pet stays relaxed on their own bed, sofa, or favourite blanket.

Everyone Can Be There

From a family home in Brackla or Pencoed to a seaside bungalow in Porthcawl, your whole family can gather around your pet. Children, grandparents, partners and other pets are all welcome with no clinic rules or time limits.

Familiar Surroundings Throughout

Your pet stays exactly where they feel safest — the sunny patch by the back door, their bed under the stairs, the garden they know inch by inch. Familiar smells, sounds and people make the whole experience calmer.

Calm, Unhurried Care

There is no waiting room, no rushing onto the next appointment, and no clinical setting. We take as long as you need, answering every question gently and making sure the visit feels peaceful from start to finish.
