Deciding it is time to say goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the hardest moments any family faces. For families in Llanelli, Cartref Home Pet Care offers a gentler alternative to a clinic visit: a quiet, compassionate home euthanasia service where your dog or cat can pass peacefully in surroundings they know and love.

Whether home is a street in Llanelli town, a marina-side home in Burry Port, a cottage near Pembrey Forest, a village in the Gwendraeth Valley, or a quieter lane in Felinfoel or Llangennech, Dr Jenny Kurtz-Shefford will travel to you. Your pet stays in their favourite spot, the whole family can be together, and there is no pressure, no rushing, and no clinical setting.

“Cartref” is the Welsh word for “home”, and home is where your pet deserves to be when it matters most.

Why Choose Home Euthanasia in Llanelli?

Giving your pet the most peaceful, dignified goodbye possible.

No Difficult Journey to a Clinic

For a poorly or elderly pet, even a short drive to a clinic can feel frightening. Home euthanasia removes the journey entirely, so your pet stays settled on their own bed, blanket, or favourite spot by the fire.

The Whole Family Together

Whether home is a terrace in Llanelli town, a bungalow in Burry Port, or a cottage near Kidwelly, your whole family is welcome to be present. Children, grandparents, partners, and other pets can all say goodbye — there are no clinic rules or visitor limits.

Familiar, Comforting Surroundings

Your pet stays exactly where they feel safest — the sunny patch in the conservatory, the armchair they have claimed for years, or the garden they know inch by inch. Familiar smells and sounds make the experience far calmer.

Gentle, Unhurried Care

There is no waiting room, no next appointment, and no rush. We take as long as you need, answering every question gently and making sure the visit feels peaceful from beginning to end.
